Brenda Ballí

Brenda Ballí is a native Houstonian and the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants. After law school, she clerked in the Northern District Court of Texas, Dallas division, and in the Superior Court of the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Croix family division. Most recently she litigated personal injury and insurance law claims. Before pursuing a legal career, she worked for an international non-profit for 18 years.

She is a graduate of the State University of New York and SMU Dedman School of Law. While working full-time throughout most of law school, she served as a judicial extern, staff editor, research assistant, and TA, and she was honored to receive eight different scholarships and bar grants from local bar associations. She is passionate about paying it forward and women helping women.

She was the only student on the executive committee of the 2019 Latina Leadership Program of the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, and in law school, she founded a women of color book club, which her alma mater hosts annually. She is a member of the Texas bar and the Hispanic National Bar Association. She enjoys hiking, swimming, and all things outdoors.
